In March, artist Michelle Martin released “Bloom,” a collection of painted ceramic bells, vases and hanging planters inspired by warmer weather and pretty springtime flowers, but work beautifully in any season. Martin’s painting style is unique, as she uses alcohol ink to create a combination of color and movement in all of her art, whether on clay or paper. With the Bloom collection, she wanted to create practical pieces that could be used around the house. There are two different sizes of bells, two different sizes of vases that can be used for either small buds or large arrangements and three different sizes of hanging planters that Martin says are perfect for faux or air plants. You can find her work on her website at artbymichellemartin.com. She also recently released a new line of landscape paintings titled “Take Me There.”
