Leopard Latte

With a Mama Jean’s (3530 E. Sunshine, Springfield, 417-429-1800; 110 E. Republic St., Springfield, 417-881-5326) a short walk away from our office, an iced Leopard Latte is the perfect excuse for us to step away from our computer screens and stretch our legs in search of an afternoon pick-me-up. The latte is made with locally roasted espresso from Heroes Coffee, whole milk, dark chocolate syrup and coconut syrup. The drink has a velvety quality that will make you wish the cute mason jar it’s served in were magically self-refilling. The syrups add a heavy dose of sweetness without going overboard, and the espresso provides a welcome jolt of caffeine. As the months start to turn chilly, mix it up and order the latte hot.
