1. Kill the Frizz
A speedy and simple way to beat back that frizz is to run a dryer sheet through your hair or rub some lotion on your hands and run them through your hair from the mid-shaft to the ends. It’s easy and takes no time at all.
2. Reduce Shower Time
Shampoo strips your hair of oils that keep it moisturized, so if you can go one or two days without lathering up, that will help keep your hair strong and healthy during the winter. If you feel like you have to do something, rinse your hair with water and then apply conditioner to the ends.
3. Add Some Oil
A good D.I.Y. method to use at home is to apply coconut oil to your hair for 30 minutes then rinse it out. This will help keep each silky strand hydrated and looking its best.
4. Treat Your Locks
To really protect your hair from the elements and keep it healthy and strong, get a deep-conditioning treatment every two weeks. This puts keratin back in your hair and smooths down the cuticles, so your hair is silky smooth. You can either get a treatment at the salon or pick up a mask at the store for at-home treatments.
5. Stay Out of The Heat
You can really help your hair by blow-drying less often. The intense heat from the blow-dryer can really dry out your hair and make it frizzy and brittle.
