Rose Gold

Spotted At: Studio 417,

444 W. McDaniel St., Springfield,

Why It Rocks: “We really saw this look come around last year with the rise of rose gold jewelry,” Hannah Catlett, co-owner of Studio 417, says. “It’s fun to see those trends carry over into the hair scene.” This color works best for those who already have a blond base and who have a fair complexion.

The Bob

Spotted At: Milk.Honey Salon,

2744 S. Glenstone Ave., Springfield,

417-889-8889, milkhoneysalon.com

Why It Rocks: Each year, ladies shed their luxe locks for shorter hairdos, and the bob is one stylish cut that’s been on the rise for several years. Stylist Joe Shreffler at Milk.Honey Salon cuts at least one bob a day. “Right now, women really like the long bob with some beach waves worked in,” he says. “They also add in loose curls to give this cut more body.”

Pops of Pastels

Spotted At: ViVo Salon,

1300 E. Republic Rd., Springfield,

417-882-4658, vivosalon.com

Why It Rocks: Bursts of all-over pastel hair color hit salons full-force, and now it’s arrived in 417-land! But instead of covering their lovely locks in seafoam green and lush lavender, Timothy Weber’s clients at ViVo Salon are adopting a softer version of this trend. “This can have a great playful look,” he says. “Women add pops of pink and purple to their bangs or in strands tucked behind their ear. This way you just get a pop of color that peeks out as you move or when you curl your hair.”
