Meet a Staffer: Logan Aguirre
Every month, we introduce you to one of the people who work on 417 Magazine. This month, meet Logan Aguirre.
Feb 2013
How long have you been working here?
6-and-a-half years
Describe what you do at work every day.
I manage the three-ring circus of the sales, marketing and ad production departments.
Describe something you worked on recently that you’re proud of.
The List Party, happening at the end of the month! It’s our biggest party of the year. It’s so much fun to plan but even more fun to see come together and to see so many people from The List in one place. Now what is The List, you ask? Good question…
What’s your favorite thing you’ve ever had to do for this job?
My favorite thing happens every day. I get to work with my mom, Joan, my dad, Gary, and my brother, Dylan, and that is pretty cool.
What’s the weirdest thing you’ve ever had to do for this job?
Back in the GO Magazine days, Dylan and I did a dive bar tour, during the day, for an article for GO. Those places don’t look so good in daylight, but we met some interesting people and heard some crazy stories.
What’s your favorite thing to do in 417-land?
I love spending summers playing on Table Rock Lake with good friends and family.
What’s your favorite magazine term?
Space close. Because what happens after space close in the sales and design worlds is such an adventure.
What’s your favorite thing to eat that you can only find in 417-land?
It’s a toss-up between my grandma Ruth Sullivan’s cornbread and her chicken and dumplings.
If there were a movie about your life in 417-land, what would its title be?
The Pursuit of Happyness (although the misspelling is a pet peeve).
What celebrity would you most like to have coffee and conversation with?
Tina Fey because she is smart, funny and strong—all of the characteristics I love about my own girlfriends.
Do you have a nickname in the 417 Magazine office?
2-Lo, courtesy of Ammie Scott.
What do you do in your free time?
Juggle. Kids, husband, work, volunteering, girl time, working out. It’s an epic juggling act.
What’s your dream vacation, and what five people would you take with you?
Five people? Right now a getaway with just me and my husband sounds perfect. Preferably to Italy.
