The Flock of Stiegls Cocktail from Progress

Whenever my husband, Eli, and I want to indulge in a veggie-forward meal for date night, we always find ourselves at Progress, where we order an array of seasonal small plates to share. On our most recent trip, we discovered the perfect cocktail to complement all those flavors. Plus, it gets bonus points thanks to a name that doubles as a delightful 1980s throwback pun. The Flock of Stiegls blends mezcal and a barely spicy jalapeño-infused tequila and agave with the bright flavors of Stiegl Grapefruit Radler and lime juice. The hint of spice was there, but it didn’t overpower any of our dishes, and the grapefruit and lime flavors made the drink feel refreshing and light. Thanks to the mezcal, we also enjoyed some smoky depth. It’s a cocktail that’s good to the last sip, when you’re bound to ask for another.
