About Dr. John Buckner & Dr. Brian Biggers
From benign conditions to breast cancer or those who are at high risk for breast cancer, Dr Biggers and Dr. Buckner, along with their dedicated staff, are trained in comprehensive care including genetic testing. They were the first to offer partial breast radiation, ductal lavage, high-risk screening and counseling and their clinic at CoxHealth was the first dedicated breast surgery clinic in Southwest Missouri.
Dr. Biggers graduated from the University of Missouri, attended residency at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed a Fellowship at Baylor University Medical Center. Dr. Biggers is a part of many professional organizations and his articles have been published in medical journals. He is also an assistant professor for the University of Missouri School of Medicine and serves as a clerkship director for surgery at the Springfield Clinical Campus.
Dr. Buckner has been in the practice of surgery in Springfield for 29 years and is an assistant professor of Clinical Surgery at the University of Missouri School of Medicine. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and started the first multidisciplinary breast conference in 1994. He has continued to lead the way in new innovations in treating patients with benign and malignant diseases of the breast.
