Finley Farms
Stargazers, gather at Finley Farms to learn all about the night sky. David Jarkins of the Springfield Astronomical Society will be on-hand with a telescope and lots of professional expertise about constellations, double stars, star clusters, nebulae, planets and more. You’ll even learn how Finley Farms is working to preserve our view of the night sky.

March 29: Whose Live Anyway?
Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts
The hilarious team behind the Emmy-nominated show Whose Line Is It Anyway? is bringing their live version of the audience-interactive improvisational comedy on the road. You’ll see Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis and Joel Murray create big laughs on-the-spot using audience prompts.
March 29: Sevendust “In Dust We Trust” Tour
Gillioz Theatre
Hard rock fans out there will be quite excited to see this band’s unique take on the genre. Sevendust has a Grammy nomination under its belt and has been making music for more than 30 years, performing at well-known festivals, including Woodstock.
Through April 6: Mermaids at WOW
Wonders of Wildlife
What’s more magical than mermaids? Every Thursday through Sunday until April 6, you can visit Wonders of Wildlife to see mermaids underwater, swimming among the aquarium’s wildlife. There are also mermaid meet-and-greet events, mermaid-themed snacks, mermaid storytime and more. Check out our interview with one of the aquarium’s mermaids before you go!

April 4–6: Gillioz Jazz Festival
Gillioz Theater
Celebrate all things jazz at the Gillioz this month, during this three-day festival. On Friday, there is a gallery of photos of jazz greats accompanied by a playlist of their music, created in partnership with the Smithsonian Institute. On Saturday, the lobby becomes a jazz café with food and live music. That night, there’s a special dinner and a performance by John Pizzarelli and Missouri Jazz Orchestra. Check the Gillioz website for specifics about each day.
April 5: My Reverie
Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts
This performance by the Springfield Symphony Orchestra features classical and Baroque pieces like Brandenburg Concerto No. 4 by Bach, Overture to La Finta Semplice by Mozart and Symphony No. 5 by Shubert. The evening also includes a performance of Entre’Acte for strings by Caroline Shaw.
