Have you been tingling with anticipation about the opening of the new 4 by 4 Brewing Company location in Fremont Hills? We have, and it opens this weekend on March 4, after a March 1 soft opening for Brew Crew members. It marks the second location for the local brewery, and is so huge compared to their original spot. The shiny new space features a huge 90-foot-long heated patio, two indoor taprooms, golf cart parking, a sizeable brewhouse, a silo to hole grain they’ll mill themselves, and more. Keep an eye on this spot as the weather warms, because we bet it’ll be your new favorite summertime hangout. There are plans for pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, a putting green, amphitheater-style seating for live music, disc golf nets, cornhole, firepits and places to hang hammocks.
It’s Whiskey Week
In addition to the 4C Sertoma 417 Whiskey Festival happening on Saturday that we already told you about, there’s yet another whiskey-centric evening in 417-land this weekend. On Thursday, March 2, you can head to Top of the Rock’s wine room for the Maker’s Mark Tasting Seminar (2–3 p.m. for $55 per person) or the Maker’s Mark All-You-Can-Eat Steak Dinner (6–9 p.m., $135 per person). The former is your chance to sample whiskey and learn about its history. The latter is a family-style three-course dinner with whiskey pairings.
ICYMI: ITTY BITTY NEWS BITES
Eat, Sip, Puff: Vineyard Market has some fun stuff coming up this month. On March 23, the Austin Hope Wine Dinner features a four-course meal with wine pairings, plus a happy hour beforehand. Both are chances to sample some delicious vino. And on March 30, those more interested in whiskey than wine can join the Cigar & Whiskey Tasting featuring samples from Willett Distillery.
Pucker Up: Tie & Timber Beer Co. is releasing their summery-bright Queen of Tarts brew on March 2. This sour beer features flavors of strawberry lemonade for a perfectly sour sip.
Get It Now: A customer-favorite Ringer is back on special at Team Taco, but only for a little bit. So if you’re a fan of their The Force A-Bacons taco, get it now before it’s gone. It features bacon lardons, lettuce, roasted tomatoes, cotija cheese and chipotle-lime mayonnaise.
