Brew Co. Gets a Little Welsh
I recently had a phone call with Springfield Brewing Co. Director of Operations Todd Schade to ask about the brewery’s takeover of Missouri Spirits—but what I learned was that there’s a whole heck of a lot going on at Brew Co. to be excited about in addition to that. In fact, there are some seriously big things happening over on Market and Walnut. Read the whole story on our blog, where you'll learn about a name change, a bunch of new brews and a new focus on the restaurant menu.
A Not-So-Secret Lunch Expansion
Secret Sandwich Shop, the new sammie slingers located inside Sweet Boy’s Neighborhood Bar, announced that they’ll be open for curbside, carry-out or dine-in lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. The spot is also open 4 to 10 p.m. those days. That’s awesome news, but what’s even more awesome is that the spot is expanding its menu a bit, adding salads, daily sandwich specials and some new side dishes.
Pile on Those Croutons, the Salad Bar is Back!
Everybody knows that the salad bar at Jimm’s Steakhouse & Pub is the cool kid on the block. So popular! Seriously, everybody loves that counter of self-serve freshness. Well last week, it opened back up, baby! It’s no longer self-serve, to keep COVID-19 safety front-of-mind, but all the greens and their tasty accoutrements are available. You get to build your own salad by letting your server know which toppings you want, and they load it up and bring it back to you. So, if you were on Team Salad Bar and have been waiting for it to come back into your life, you’re in luck!
What the Cluck?
Nashville hot chicken fans who have been getting their spicy fix at Springfield’s Hot Cluckers will be excited to learn that the southern-inspired eatery is opening a second location on South Campbell Avenue across from Sam’s Club. The new location is an addition to the original one on East Sunshine, and will include tons of additional space for a full bar and a patio, plus a larger menu with breakfast options.Southwest Springfield folks, now’s your chance to go for hot chicken in four different spice levels from Nancy (no spice) to Hot Mother Clucker (all the spice). Hot tip: Go there for fried catfish too.
