Druff’s New Menu
Our favorite grilled cheese sandwich spot downtown has expanded the menu with lots of delicious and fun dishes. Druff’s has always played with unique flavor combinations and always nailed the final result. The menu has 17 sandwich options, one being the Action Parmesan, made with mozzarella, provolone, parmesan crusted wheat bread, house tomato basil sauce and grilled chicken. I mean, come on! They also have six options under the Breakfast Bowls category, and I have to point out the Cornbread Crumble, made with two over-easy eggs, cornbread crumble, sausage, fresh greens and cheddar cheese. Yum!
I Love Tacos Taqueria Grows East
It’s impressive to learn just how many delicious Mexican taco trucks we have in the city and, I Love Tacos Taqueria is definitely one of the good ones. With the growing success on their to-go menu items, they are ready to expand and open their first brick and mortar location, located on 2724 E. Chestnut St., on the way to Highway 65. Known for their tacos and beef asada burritos, they plan on keeping the same menu as the truck until they get a feel of their customers and what they like and don’t like. They are hoping to be open by the end of May.
Urban Roots Dinner on the Farm
One of the sweetest places to have dinner al fresco is Urban Roots Farm when they offer one of their farm-to-table events. You get to sit in between the coolest little rows of fresh produce grown right in the middle of Springfield with delicious food and live music. The upcoming Urban Roots Farm Dinner on the Farm event is in partnership with Progress restaurant, so you know that the food will be outstanding. This is happening on May 13 and 14, and it’s a four-course meal with wine pairings and live music from Guinevere and Kevin Cott. We are a few weeks away, but we wanted to make sure you guys had enough time to go get your tickets for this awesome experience.
Echelon Coffee’s Flavorful Menu
You gotta love how on point our local coffee shops are about providing us delicious, seasonal beverages. Echelon Coffee has four new spring beverages that I’m really liking. First is a strawberry iced mocha. I mean, who doesn’t love the idea of strawberries, coffee, and chocolate together? Then there’s a super-refreshing lemon-mint matcha that just yells spring, and a Lavender Falls Tonic, that features Lavender Falls Farm syrup, tonic water and espresso, all served over ice. It’s so refreshing.
