Teeny Tasty Tapas
Raise your hand if you love tapas. 🙋♀️ We sure do, and we’re pretty jazzed to hear about 65° Tapas, a new Spanish tapas restaurant that opens today. It’s located at 3371 E. Montclair St. in Springfield—right next to ReRico Brazilian Grill at the intersection of Battlefield and Highway 65. The menu features tons of tasty-looking options. We’re excited to try steak-and-olive empanadas, the burrata platter (gosh, we love burrata), the octopus served over blistered peppers and lots of other small plates. But the mains look great too: seared scallops with saffron cream sauce, grilled lamb lollipops with parsley pesto and more.
Just in Time for Cinco de Mayo
Strafford-based El Paraiso Mexican Kitchen has finally opened their Springfield location, at 610 W. College St. in the space formerly occupied by Lost Signal Brewing Co. The new Mexican eatery opened their doors on Friday, and they serve a variety of fresh options that look mouthwateringly good. There are some wildly fun drink options, like a variety of margaritas, oyster shooters and more. You can find all your favorite Mexican standbys plus some surprises: The guacamole is made table-side, there are fresh options like ceviche, and you can even order a fresh pineapple bowl filled with meat and grilled veggies.
ICYMI: Itty Bitty News Bites

• Golden Goodness: Have you tried The Golden Girl Rum Club’s new menu yet? It looks so delish, with treats like rum cake by the slice, a kimchi-topped smoked sausage and so many incredible cocktails.
• A New Pop-Up: Daniel Ernce, the culinary mind behind Progress, has announced a new cannabis dinner pop-up called Oui’d that he’s putting together with Progress’s pastry chef Kyle Davis and Autumn Davis.
