4 by 4 Brewing Company Expands

Oops, we’re a tad behind on this one. But, we’re so excited about the news that we had to share anyway. Earlier this month, 4 by 4 Brewing Company announced new growth: a second brewery location is set to open in Fremont Hills next year. The development will feature indoor and outdoor family-friendly gathering spaces with full taproom service. When the pandemic shutdown increased demand for packaged and bottled beverages, 4 by 4 got to work and began packaging their house-made beers in their modest Galloway location. As demand grew, it became clear that they were outgrowing their space, which is why they’ve decided to open this second, larger location. The Galloway location will stay put just as we know it, but now there will be even more 4 by 4 to go around. Cheers!

Get Your Eats on Route 66

It’s out with the old and in with the new at Route 66 Food Truck Park. While London Calling food truck is taking on new ventures and leaving the food truck park behind, a new Thai food truck has joined the crew on East St. Louis Street. Thai Food Truck opened at the food truck park last Saturday and is serving all of our Thai favorites including pad thai, spring rolls and basil fried rice. They also offer vegan and gluten-free options that we can’t wait to try!

Stop by the Queen on Easter Sunday to grab some good eats or pre-order side dishes or a meal for four by April 1. Choose from Queen City Soul Kitchen classics like macaroni and cheese, collard greens and candied yams. Don’t forget dessert.

St. Michael’s Restaurant and Italian Catering
Order a pasta dinner for two from St. Michael’s to enjoy on Easter. Orders must be placed by 11 a.m. Friday. Throw in a banana cake too, please. 

Downing Street Pour House Heads to Republic

It’s been less than a year since Downing Street Pour House’s second location opened on South Glenstone in Springfield and the team is already planning for another addition. A third location of the Hollister-based brewpub is projected to open in Republic next summer. Owner Tammy Zachary says the new location, which will be located near the new Amazon distribution center, will offer a menu similar to its siblings: lots of delicious burgers and fun pub favorites.
