On October 17, 2024, Silver Dollar City held a press event to announce plans for a half-billion dollars in new development on the 1,200 acres of land adjacent to the theme park. That includes the newly announced Silver Dollar City Resort, the first of theme park resort of its kind in the region. The resort is already under construction and will ultimately house 262 rooms, a restaurant, indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, indoor and outdoor pools, Table Rock Lake views and easy access to the Silver Dollar City, White Water, Showboat Branson Belle, Pink Jeep Adventure Tours and more. It’s planned to open in late 2026.
“This is more than just growth—it’s a new era,” said Silver Dollar City Parks & Resorts President Brad Thomas in a press release. “Over the next decade, we will mindfully transform 1,200 acres into an authentic, only-in-the-Ozarks destination starting with our first resort. The new resort will combine Silver Dollar City’s spirit of playfulness, discovery, craftsmanship and exploration with all that makes the Heart of the Ozarks so special.”
The new developments come on the heels of years of excitement for Silver Dollar City, with its ever-growing list of new rides, a recent reimagining of the beloved Fire in the Hole, and some high honors—including being named America’s No. 1 Theme Park in USA Today’s Readers’ Choice Awards.
It’s been so much fun to see Silver Dollar City evolve over the course of its 65-year history, and we can’t wait to follow along with their new ventures!
