Hudson Freeman’s A Man, One Day delivers six gigantic songs with even bigger feelings. Fitting firmly in the ambiguous alternative category A Man, One Day is a six-song masterpiece. It leaves listeners wanting for more as it draws from folk, rock and even some Latin feels (see “A Brand New World”). Freeman’s various instrumentation is layered with impeccable production by Jacob Montague. Aside from the drums by Kyle Teese, Freeman plays everything on the album—including four types of stringed instruments and a glockenspiel, among others. The Dallas transplant plays the Kentwood Green live music stage at Artsfest on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Stream or buy A Man, One Day here.
