What's your favorite part of your job at 417?
I love getting to go around 417-land collecting digital content to share with the 417 community. It is so fun to get to meet local business owners and find out about new places I wouldn't have otherwise!
What is your favorite place in 417-land?
My favorite place in 417-land is Nathanael Greene Memorial Park. It's the perfect place for an evening stroll, summer picnic or lazy Saturday. In the summer, the butterfly house and flower garden are such a charming touch as well!
Are you from 417-land? If not, where did you grow up and what keeps you here?
I was born and raised right here in 417-land! The amazing coffee, local shops and kind community keep me from ever wanting to leave. There truly is no place like 417!
What’s your favorite place you’ve traveled to?
I went to Hawaii on my honeymoon and it was such an amazing, unforgettable experience! Getting to island hop between Maui and Oahu and see all the different beaches, plants and cities has been on my bucket list for years. I definitely plan on going back!
Are you a cat person or a dog person?
Definitely a dog person. Coming home and being greeted by a happy pup with a wagging tail is a feeling I'm pretty sure can't be topped. Plus, they double as a built-in bestie and it just doesn't get much better than that.
What’s something you’ve done or achieved that you’re proud of?
In college, I was chosen to speak at the International Communications Conference in Galway, Ireland! It was so cool to speak at and represent my school in another college halfway across the world and experience a new culture for a week.
Coffee or tea?
If I had to choose between the two, I would have to go with coffee. However, deep down, I have always been a chai latte girl. Does that count as coffee or tea? Either way, you can't go wrong with an iced chai from any local coffee shop in town.
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
While Christmas is a close second, the Fourth of July has always been my favorite holiday! I love watching the fireworks, lighting sparklers with my family and eating homemade ice cream. A couple of years ago, my family started the tradition of making an American flag fruit pizza which has become a fan favorite ever since.
